Verify whether an item is the one you registered, and prevent counterfeiting and substitution
We judge whether the item in front of you is the same one you registered, by matching its surface pattern. A tag or serial number can be swapped, but the item itself cannot. This page introduces how GAZIRU.z is used as a countermeasure against counterfeiting and substitution.
Typical challenges
Counterfeit or substituted versions of our products are circulating in the market / appraisal results aren't linked to the physical item in the secondary market
With GAZIRU
- Register items right after manufacture or after appraisal, and determine whether an item found in the market is that individual
- Can't be defeated by swapping a tag or serial number, because the item itself is the ID
- Can be operated by linking appraisal results, warranty certificates, and digital certificates to the physical item
Please note
What GAZIRU.z judges is whether an item is the same individual as one that was registered. It does not "appraise" the authenticity of items that were never registered.
How it works
Photograph a specific spot at registration and GAZIRU.z registers its features in the registry. On the receiving side, photographing the same spot with a camera lets you judge from the matching score whether the item in front of you is the same individual that was registered. Depending on conditions, GAZIRU.eye can also be used on its own or alongside GAZIRU.z, learning the features of multiple genuine items to tell look-alikes apart or to visualize differences in appearance from genuine items.
